We are very excited to be celebrating with the community and we hope you will still be able to join us as a participant at this year’s event!

Planning has begun for NAD at Trout Lake 2016!

Hello Community!! We are very excited to announce that planning for the 2016 National Aboriginal Day at Trout Lake has begun! The festivities will be similar to last year’s event. Join us for a pancake breakfast at the Friendship Centre starting at 9am and then onto the Friendship Walk to Trout Lake at 11am. Events at Trout Lake start at 12PM and finish at 5PM.

Some activities this year include: storytelling, face painting, canoe rides, lacrosse, yoga, drumming workshop and an interactive cultural arts display.

Stay tuned as we post more information as we confirm our artists and facilitators.

Registration for vendor tables begins on May 1st.

Volunteers Needed

We are looking for people who can help with:

  • serving food
  • setup/takedown
  • providing info
  • youth activities
  • general organization
