Meet Our Yoga Instructor: June McCue

Come celebrate National Aboriginal Day at Trout Lake and International Day of Yoga with June McCue: a dedicated yoga practitioner of Ned’u’ten and Irish Canadian ancestry. Yoga is an ancient practice dedicated to body, mind, and spiritual alignment. June incorporates Indigenous, western and eastern teachings on well being in all of her yoga classes. Join us at Trout Lake as we acknowledge this sacred time of summer solstice and the change of seasons.

June McCue is a 500-hour certified yoga instructor who trained at Semperviva Yoga College in Vancouver, B.C. She is a committed practitioner of many yogic traditions including Vinyasa, Hatha and Kundalini and also a certified pre-natal yoga instructor.

Yoga compliments June’s indigenous teachings on how to live a good life by cultivating good thoughts, words and actions daily and being true. June supplements her life’s work and teachings on decolonization, self-determination, respect for the earth and well-being. Her passion for yoga comes from a deep appreciation of how the body, mind and spirit can heal through a loving commitment to taking care of oneself. The benefits of doing yoga have helped June to process physical, mental, emotional and spiritual experiences in her life. Yoga facilitates a time and space for June to be peaceful inwardly and to express this peace out to the world through its diverse teachings.

June invites students to be mindfully courageous by opening up their energetic pathways to foster body-mind-spirit alignment through moving meditations so that students can be aware of their true being and how they intend to relate to all beings in this world.
